
In occasione di Mantova Creativa, giovedì 23 maggio 2013, alle ore 18 inauguriamo due nuove mostre alla Galleria Corraini Arte Contemporanea di via Ippolito Nievo 7A a Mantova. La prima è Attrezzature urbane per la collettività di Ugo La Pietra (qui tutte le informazioni). La seconda è la tappa mantovana di Grafici Mobili, la mostra inaugurata a Milano durante l'ultima edizione del Salone del Mobile (qui tutte le informazioni).

Corraini Edizioni is taking part in the Turin International Book Fair at Lingotto Fiere between 16th and 20th May 2013. Come and visit us at stand L118 (in Hall 2), which this year is dedicated to the theme of the sea, with colours from the new Oceano pop-up book and Drawing in the Sea, Harriet Russell's latest book!
As well as participating in talks and workshops, Harriet will be at our stand to present her new creation and a series of beautiful prints!
We look forward to sharing our new additions with you, as well as our calendar which is bursting with events. In addition to Harriet Russell's In the Sea workshops, we have Stupore a km zero* by Massimiliano Tappari and the presentation of IN Residence #05, with some of those who are featured in this contemporary design experience.

On 29th and 30th of April we'll be at the Festival delle resistenze contemporanee in Merano, holding a couple of "exploration-workshops" inspired by Keri Smith's, How to be an explorer of the world.
These workshops are dedicated to those who are able to use their immagination (or at least who try to do so). You'll be asked to to put aside your skepticism, to accomplish some weird assignements, to observe the world in a way that could change your mind!
Both workshops well be held in the old town center of Merano, and will start at 10.00 AM.
Thursday 18th April, at corrainiMAMbo artbookshop (via Don Minzoni, 14 a Bologna) we will talk about Quaderni della Valle Camonica with Elena Turetti, Pietro Corraini, Max Rommel in collaboration with the Fine Arts Accademy of Bologna.

9th April 5pm: Opening of the “Grafici mobili” exhibition, in which graphic artist reinterpret design furnitures and objects. The exhibition will be open till 5th may (more info about the show)
10th April 5pm Presentation of the two new Primaproduzione objects. We'll discover them with their authors: Joe Velluto e Chiara Moreschi (more info about the show)
11th April 4pm, presentation of Transition Menu, the new book by Martí Guixé.
12th April 5pm: "L’avventura di IN R 5 • five years of In Residence", presentation of the new volume of the IN Residence series, a new glance on contemporay design.

Marzia Corraini a Innovare è un'impresa! Il secondo ciclo di incontri organizzati dal Distretto Culturale di Valle Camonica che esplora il rapporto tra territorio, impresa e cultura nel segno dell'innovazione. L'esperienza della casa editrice, la collaborazione con il Distretto per il progetto "I quaderni della Valle Camonica" e un dialogo aperto con Renata Meazza, responsabile e curatrice dell'Archivio Etnografico di Storia Sociale della Ragione Lombardia.

Last sunday, Stefano Salis wrote in Il Sole 24 Ore a short beautiful review of "Abstract Forecast", Un Sedicesimo 30.
A forza di guardarle (in principio fu Bernacca) ci sembra di essere diventati familiari delle isobare, delle linee di forza dei venti, dei mari mossi e delle lineette della perenne (una volta...) "nebbia in Val Padana". E invece no. Decostruite , sono dei meravigliosi segni nullasignificanti, non per questo privi di una bellezza intrinseca. Ecco perchè il nuovo "Sedicesimo", la rivista grafica più inventiva che ci sia (edita da Corraini), è così convincente. Non vuol dire nulla, vuol dire bellezza.
