Carin Goldberg was born in 1953 in New York City and studied at the Cooper Union School of Art. She established her own studio in 1982, and over the following three decades has designed hundreds of book jackets and numerous magazines for all the major American publishing houses.
She served as president of the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and has been a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale since 1999. In 2008 she received the Art Directors Club Grandmasters Award for Excellence in Education and in 2009 she was awarded the prestigious AIGA Legends Gold Medal. She has taught Typography and Senior Portfolio at the School of Visual Arts for 27 years.
